Ebonie Henderson is a highly experienced psychotherapist with over 18 years of clinical practice supporting individuals through life’s challenges. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Addictions Counselor who is passionate about helping people heal, grow, and create meaningful change in their lives. Ebonie works with clients ranging from teens to older adults and is available to provide services in Oregon and Washington.
Ebonie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2003 and her Master of Social Work in 2007 from The Ohio State University. Throughout her career, she has worked with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and major life transitions.
Ebonie approaches therapy from an empowering, strengths-based perspective. She believes every person has the capacity for growth and the right to live a fulfilling and authentic life. Her work focuses on creating a supportive and collaborative therapeutic relationship where clients feel understood, respected, and empowered to make lasting changes.
In sessions, Ebonie integrates evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), to help clients develop practical tools for managing difficult emotions, reducing distressing symptoms, and navigating life’s stressors more effectively. She is also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and recognizes the important role trauma healing can play in long-term well-being when clients feel ready to engage in that work.
Ebonie values collaboration and works alongside clients to identify goals, build resilience, and support meaningful progress toward the life they want to create.
In addition to her clinical work, Ebonie is an Approved Clinical Supervisor and enjoys mentoring clinicians pursuing social work licensure or seeking professional consultation.
